You Can Make a Difference

Many families today, especially those with children, are struggling to maintain a normal life. The loss of a job, an illness, injury or other major unexpected expense can have serious consequences for the household budget. In these difficult times, the financial burden of pet ownership is becoming more than many local families can bear. Individuals and families have been forced into making the wrenching decision of having to give up a beloved companion.

You can help these families keep their pets. Here’s how:

Make a Donation

Every dollar helps.

Making a secure, tax deductible gift on a one-time or recurring basis. Your donation will help Vermont and Massachusetts families care for and keep their pets.

Commission a Portrait

Commission a portrait of your favorite furry friend and support our Pawsitive Pantry program in Massachusetts at the same time! Mary is an oil painter who generously supports our work by painting custom portraits on canvas. She donates her time, the materials and even shipping. For a donation of $250 – all of which goes to Pawsitive Pantry Massachusetts – you can have a one of a kind painting of your dog or cat.

What People Are Saying

  • I joined because I was looking for a way to help during the pandemic and I love animals especially cats – maybe more than people! Plus I work in health care with a low income population and knew how much people were struggling financially. I have loved being an active member of the task force. I am constantly learning new things and making new connections. I feel like I am making a real difference for people.
